About Sophie

Born and raised in Vermont, I live in Greensboro with my husband, son, and lots of neighboring family.  I went to my first yoga class with my mom when I was a teenager, and I continued practicing on and off while attending the University of Vermont.  

 

In 2005, with high spirits and a taste for adventure, I purchased a one way ticket to Hawaii, where I worked on organic farms on the islands of Kauai and Maui.  This eventually led to meeting Myra Lewin, my yoga teacher.  After spending 4 months living, learning, and farming at Myra's home yoga retreat in 2006, I decided to do an official 200 hour yoga training with her in the Spring of 2007.  

 

With Yoga Certificate in hand, I left Maui and returned home to Vermont where I've been teaching in the greater Hardwick community ever since.  I continue to nurture my relationship with Myra by assisting her with yoga trainings at her yoga studio and farm on the island of Kauai.
